Cala Bassa

Located in the west of the island, it is considered one of the best beaches in Ibiza. From fine sand and transparent watersis one of the most demanded places during the summer months, something that can become a drawback. Platges de Comte

Platges de Comte is a group of several small coves located very close to Cala Bassa.

Es Bol Nou

Better known as sa Caletaits main characteristic is the clay cliffs that surround it. With just 70 meters long, the beach is a place where the quiet atmosphere reigns. From the beach itself, to the right and bordering the cliffs, you can find two other small coves of small dimensions in which sandy areas are mixed with rocks. Before accessing the beach, and following the path located on the left, you will find the Phoenician settlement of Sa Caleta from the 8th century BC.

Xarraca Cove

Benirràs

Pou des Lleó

Located in the northeast of the island, Pou des Lleó is made up of different small coves and jetties to enjoy a calm and quiet day. It is an ideal area for lovers of diving, paddle surfing or kayaking. In front of its coasts you can enjoy the presence of the islet of Tagomago. Cala d’Hort

Located in the municipality of Sant Josep, the protagonism of this beach is taken by es Vedrà and es Vedranell, two imposing rocks in front of the coast of Cala d’Hort and over which circulate numerous legends. In fact, es Vedrà is one of the most portrayed locations by everyone who comes to the island as it is one of the most famous spots to watch the sunset. Gracioneta cove

Located next to Cala Gració, it is in the municipality of Sant Antoni, in the west of the island. Cala Llonga

Mastella Cove

Located in the municipality of Santa Eulària, this is a cove that is not accessible by public transport and once parked the vehicle you have to walk a little. It is not the ideal beach to go with children. It is of reduced dimensions (60 meters) and in it you can enjoy a certain tranquility even in high season. The water that bathes it has a very characteristic color because of the rocks, white sand and posidonia that populates its seabed. Aigües Blanques

In addition to being, together with es Cavalletone of the only two Ibizan beaches officially considered nudist, its main peculiarity is its location, at the foot of a steep cliff, which has kept it safe from being urbanized.

From it there is a beautiful panoramic view of Punta Grossa and the island of Tagomagoand a constellation of small islets and reefs close to the shore, to which you have to pay close attention because the usual swell sometimes prevents you from seeing them clearly.

It is 300 meters long and has an average width of 10 meters. It is formed by medium-grained, tan-colored sands. It is a very open beach and exposed to frequent winds from the east, causing its strong waves.

Vedella Cove

This is a beautiful beach in the municipality of Sant Josep. Being surrounded by cliffs it is usually very protected from the wind. It has a large number of services as it is one of the favorite beaches for tourists and residents. It is ideal to go with the family.

It is not a very big beach since it is 250 meters long and has one of the natural harbors of the island, where fishermen’s dry dock huts are located. Its waters are crystal clear and it looks like a real swimming pool.

Es Cavallet

It is one of the nudist beaches of Ibiza. Along with ses Salines and es Codolar it is located within the Natural Area of Special Interest of ses Salinescatalogued as an Area of Special Interest for Birds (ZEPA) by the European Union.

Es Cavallet is composed of fine white colored sands of natural origin. Its dimensions comprise about 1,500 meters in length and between 30 and 40 meters in average width.

Oriented towards the east, its winds come from sea to land and with a low intensity. The bottoms of the beach are sandy, although with rocky areas in the southernmost part. The slope does not exceed 170 centimeters deep at about 50 meters from the shore.

Es Portitxol

It is a very isolated cove and unknown by many, even residents of the island. Reaching it requires a long hike up a steep hillside and you have to be loaded with provisions, because once you get there, there are no services of any kind.

It is located in the municipality of Sant Joan and surely the most comfortable way to enjoy its crystalline waters and populated with fish (it is a great idea to take diving goggles with you) is from the sea. If you are looking for tranquility and exuberant nature, this is your place.

Punta Galera

Water erosion has failed to soften the sharp profile of the elongated promontory of Punta de sa Galera. A tiny cove of no more than 20 meters is one of the most pristine corners of Ibiza and whose rocky bottoms have everything you can dream of for the practice of scuba diving.

In this cove, the sunset transforms the landscape into an orange-colored bath. If you bring your camera, the images will be some of the best you can capture on the island.

Tarida Cove

Cala Tarida is one of the most beautiful beaches of Poniente and well worth a visit. If sport is your thing, you have found the right place: windsurfing, water skiing, scuba diving and sailing are some of the sports you can enjoy. On its slopes there are two hotels, as well as apartments.

Two small islets remain attached to the land by the sands. Its length exceeds 270 meters and its average width is around 40 meters. The the bottoms are sandy and very gently slopingexcept for the area on the left, where some rocks appear, as they are barely more than 150 centimeters deep at 40 meters from the shore.

It is accessible by bus. In addition to hotels, apartments and restaurants, Cala Tarida enjoys a great recreational-sports offer.

Jondal Cove

A beautiful cove in a very quiet environment, characterized by the white pebbles that form itwhich produce a relaxing sound thanks to the waves that beat this beach open to the sea.

The buildings that sit on this agricultural plain are mostly huts where farm implements and farmhouses are kept: Cala Jondal maintains well preserved its typical Ibizan rural charm.

This flatness in the beach area contrasts with the colossal stature of Puig d’es Jondalwhich rises to the left to a height of 160 meters and whose geometrical prolongation, the Punta d’es Jondal, goes into the sea like a sharp point.
