First day of local products: Celebrating the value of our goods at Club Diario this Friday

'Showcooking', cooking classes, nutrition and digital marketing are some of the ingredients of the program, which takes place on Friday 31 at Club Diario at 6pm.

If you want to spend a different and very Ibizan evening, on Friday May 31 we have a plan that you can not miss: the ‘I Jornada de producto local. The value of what is ours’ organized by the Club Diario de Ibiza at 6 p.m. A day designed for all audiences: families, entrepreneurs, producers, lovers of Ibizan traditions…. It is a space where enjoy Ibizan gastronomy from different points of viewit is also a day to learn how zero kilometer products affect food or to know how to promote a brand or a company focused on Ibizan values.

After the inauguration, by a representative of the Consell de Ibiza, the day will begin with an exhibition of cooking with local products and will be followed by the intervention of Victoria Torre Sustaeta, founder of Ibicencamente communication and digital marketing agency and registered trademark since 2019, which through the projection of spectacular videos will give the keys to help companies and professionals in Ibiza to transmit a powerful image with the right message that manages to enhance the essence of a brand and thus connect with your audience.

Shortly after, it will be the turn of Carmen Cuadra, nurse, dietitian and nutritional coach who will offer small pills and tips to achieve a healthy diet, appetizing and easy to do with the huge variety of products offered by the island.

Learning how to cook with the family and that children can make easy dishes with local produce is the aim of the class that will be given by Estela Armada, chef and owner of Tierra de Ibiza Culinary Tradition. Ten children with ten parents can participate in this activity. Ten ballots will be chosen among those who sign up for this fun cooking class. The rest will be able to learn the recipe from their seats in the auditorium of Diario de Ibiza. The best thing is that at the end of the class, the children can take what they have cooked home.

Tasting of products

After the sessions in the assembly hall, it will be time for the tasting of zero-kilometer products by Saborswhich will have a stand where recipes will be prepared with seasonal products prepared by the chef Marga Orell. Sabors is an initiative aimed at disseminating the island’s food and fish products and gastronomic culture. Sabors has the participation of the Departments of Agriculture and Tourism Promotion of the Consell de Ibiza together with the professional sectors of the agri-food sector grouped in the Pimeef (Petita i Mitjana Empresa d’Ibiza i Formentera).

We want attendees to have a good time and enjoy the value of the products of the island, so that families can comfortably attend the day, we have the collaboration of Sueños de Ibiza, who will organize with their monitors traditional Ibizan games for children to have a great time in the gardens of Diario de Ibiza.

And at the end, thanks to the collaboration of Eroski a varied and appetizing basket of Ibizan products will be raffled among all the assistants and a voucher for a dinner or lunch for two at the emblematic Ibizan restaurant located at Vara de Rey Ca n’Alfredo.
