Agents from the PolicÃa Nacional on Ibiza have arrested a 49 year old man as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of sexual harassment. The case occurred in hotel on Ibiza where the detainee works as the direct boss of the victim, who is his assistant, the PolicÃa Nacional reported in a statement.
The events were established after a woman went to police headquarters on Friday 19th and said she had been sexually harassed by her boss in the workplace.
Man arrested after third party testimonies
In addition to the victim’s complaint, the Police had access to the testimony of third parties who gave credence to the facts reported.
The PolicÃa Nacional emphasizes that the victim, according to her testimony, was even “bitten” by her boss on one occasion, thus denouncing sexual harassment that went beyond the merely verbal barrier. These situations have been going on since the woman started working in this hotel and did not dare to report it before for fear of losing her job.
For all these reasons the alleged perpetrator was arrested last Monday. The detainee was placed at the disposal of the Duty Court and a statement was taken on the same day of his arrest.
