The case of Anasse Z. epitomizes this issue, with him flagrantly operating an illicit tourist complex in Sant Josep, despite a pending demolition order since 2017. Anasse Z. has been illegally renting out extended portions of his villa and additional studios on urban land, as well as two bungalows on rustic land within the Natural Park of ses Salines. The latter complicates regulatory oversight due to differing jurisdictions. Despite denial of a legalization license in 2016 and subsequent rejection of his appeals, Anasse Z.’s operations persist. His actions mirror those of Francisca Sánchez Ordóñez (Paquita Marsan), suggesting a systemic issue with enforcing demolition orders and regulating illegal tourist rentals.
