Check out all the activities programmed for the Sant Agustí festivities

The Sant Josep Town Council, together with the associations of Sant Agustí, this morning presented the programme of festivities of this locality. On this occasion the mayor, Vicent Roig, wanted to thank all the associations of the village for their work in order to create a programme for all ages.

“I have invited all the neighbors of Sant Josepy from other municipalities to celebrate this great day,” said Roig during the presentation of the program, according to a note issued by the Consistory. The big day will be on monday, August 28on which there will be a mass sung by the Choir of Sant Agustí, followed by the traditional procession and ball pagès by Sa Colla des Vedrà.

The councilor of festivities, Isabel Castellar, wanted to emphasize that this year the program has two important days, as the august 26 will feature the performance of the groups Ruda (Ibiza), Shego (Madrid) and Awakate (Murcia) and on Monday 28th Aiyé Batucada (Ibiza), Bratia (Barcelona), La Ganga Calé (Madrid) and MFC Chicken (London) will perform.

During these two weeks of festivities there will also be space for children’s activities. The first, according to the same note from the City Council, is organized by the Association of Neighbors of Sant Agustí, which will make a science workshop for children between seven and 10 years. The next will be on August 27 at 10 am, with water games and foam in the courtyard of the music school Can Blau.

Activities for everyone

The children’s program continues on Thursday, August 31 with the summer school festival and will end on Saturday, September 2 at 6 p.m. in the town square, where a children’s play day is scheduled with traditional games and songs, as well as wooden games to enjoy with the family.

Other activities offered during these weeks will be the play ‘Un embolic, dos embolics, tres embolics’by the Asociación de Vecinos es Molí and organized by the Club de Majors, on Sunday August 27 at 9 pm. In addition, on September 3 at 7 p.m. is scheduled the Festa pagesa des pou des Rafalsorganized by Sa colla des Vedrà, and on Saturday September 9 there will be a lunch in honor of the elderly of Sant Agustí.
