A beach in Ibiza is the most expensive in Spain for renting a house

Once again this year, Spaniards are seeking the refuge of crystal-clear waters to survive the heat. For this reason, coastal areas are becoming the most sought-after for renting and buying a property at this time of year. According to an analysis by Fotocasa, Talamanca Beach, located in Ibiza, is the most expensive beach in Spain, with a rental price of 44.58€/m2. It is followed by Els Banys del Fòrum beach, in Barcelona, which reaches a price of 39.5€/m2, and Cala Els Pots, in Palamós (Girona), where the rental price is 38.5€/m2.

As revealed by Fotocasa’s Real Estate Index data, the prices of the most expensive beaches in Spain are three times the average price of housing for rent in May, which stands at €11.65/m2.

Among the most expensive beaches and coves nationwide to rent, the Fotocasa study highlights Ibiza and Mallorca, and the province of Barcelona. In that sense, in fourth position, is El Giber beach, in Palamós (Girona)which reaches 37.7 €/m2. In the municipality of Calvià, in Mallorca, it is followed by Cala Xinxell (37,22€/m2), Comtesa Cove (36,64€/m2), Bendinat Cove (36,3€/m2), Illetes beach, (36,18€/m2) and Portals Cove (33,67€/m2).

Finally, La Malagueta, located in Malaga province, becomes the most expensive beach in Andalusia for rentalwith a price of 33,79€/m2.

On the other hand, the Balearic Islands are crowned as the most expensive coastal areas to buy a home. Thus, Cala Oli (10.903,2€/m2) occupies the first position, followed by Xinxell Cove (10.496,9€/m2 ) and Comtesa Cove (10.172,5€/m2), all of them in the Majorcan municipality of Calvià. Next, Ses Bassetes beach, in Formenterawith a purchase price of 10.004,4€/m2.

Caleta Portals and Playa Punta Portals, both located in Calviàhave a price of 9,933.11€/m2 and 9,811.87€/m2. In the same municipality, it is followed by Playa L’Oratori, where the apartments for purchase have a value of 9.801.26 €/m2 and houses for purchase reach 8,139.46 €/m2. The beaches of Ses Figueretes, in Ibiza (9,552.8€/m2) are added to the list; Costa d’en Blanes (9.498,36€/m2); Illetes (9.019,09€/m2); and Bendinat Cove (8.834,72€/m2), also in Calvià.

Finally, Talamanca Beachwhich is presented as the most expensive area for renting, reaches a purchase price of 8,509.14€/m2, followed by Cala Brogit, in Calvià (8.144,81€/m2), and La Fontanilla, in Conil de la Frontera (Málaga)with a value of 7.935,85€/m2.
