The area of Environmental Management of the Consell de Formentera has warned about the accumulation of waste in places not intended for it. According to a press release from this department, the abandonment of bulky objects and pollutant material near the containers is generating a negative impact on the environment and a negative use of the excessive use of overtime of cleaning personnel, with the impact this has on public accounts.

From the Consell de Formentera point out that “it is time to become aware and change our habits” and ask citizens to use the free service for the collection of bulky household goods at home or take the waste to the recycling point of the island.
They also encourage people to separate waste correctly and report vandalism and uncivic acts.
