Here are the hippie markets currently open in Ibiza

The hippie and craft markets stand as one of the quintessential lures of Ibiza, drawing countless visitors each year. Every town on the island boasts its own selection of these vibrant bazaars. Some have been rooted in tradition for over half a century. These markets are not just shopping destinations but a feast for the senses. They offer a diverse array of handmade crafts, bespoke jewellery, unique art pieces, and trendy clothing. But it’s not just about the shopping; it’s an experience. With tantalising food stalls and the rhythmic beats of live music in the air, the ambiance captures the true essence of Ibiza.

Although some of the flea markets remain open all year round, others only open their doors with the onset of summer and the tourist season.

Markets in Santa Eulària

Las Dalias Hippie Market

The flea market of Las Dalias is one of the best known of the island. Created in 1985has been growing in number of stalls to more than 200 at present, according to its website. In the complex, located in the municipality of Santa Eulària, shortly before reaching the small town of Sant Carles, other events such as Las Dalias Café, Las Dalias Club or concerts are also held. In the case of the flea market, it takes place every Saturday of 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Hippy Market) and on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays from 7 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. in summer (Night Market).

The Hippie Market is the largest and oldest on the island. It was founded in 1973 and this year has celebrated its 50th anniversary. It is located in the hotel complex of Punta Arabí, in Es Canar, one of the most touristic areas of Ibiza. The market brings together a total of 500 artisans among its narrow streets full of jewelry, costume jewelry, handmade clothing and stalls with various items.

In addition, there are also art exhibitions and other activities such as having a massage.

The Hippie Market is renewed this year under the brand The Reference accompanied by new musical, cultural and gastronomic content for the whole family.

Open every Wednesday from 10 am to 7 pm and Fridays from 6 pm to midnight.

S’Alamera Market

From the City Council of Santa Eulària have reported that the craft stalls that are usually put on the promenade of s’Alamera. The days that you can enjoy this market are from Monday to Saturday, although on Wednesdays there are usually not many stalls because the same artisans usually go to the Hippy Market of es Canar. The schedule is from 8 to 21 hours.

Santa Gertrudis and Cala Llonga Markets

Both markets are open only in summer during the busiest tourist months. The one in Cala Llonga opens on Thursday afternoons on the promenade and the one in Santa Gertrudis on Fridays from 6 pm to midnight in the church square.

The Sant Jordi flea market, created in 1995is organized in the racecourse of the village of Sant Jordiwhich is located at about tres kilometers from the city of Ibiza at the exit of the town towards the airport. In this flea market second-hand and second-hand articles are sold such as clothes, books, old magazines, records, furniture…

It is held every Saturday of the whole year since from around 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. It has free parking and a dj who plays music to the atmosphere throughout the morning.

In the craft market of Sant Rafel, located in the village of Sant Rafel, about 9 kilometers from Sant Antoni, you can enjoy a craft show with all kinds of products. The market has about 20 stalls among which you can find handicrafts, ceramics and agricultural products.

It is usually held every year between every Thursday between the months of June and September. Market hours are from 7.30 p.m. onwards.

Forada Market

The local produce market of Forada is located on a dirt esplanade, next to the so-called Can Tixedó crossroads, and is held every Saturday (also in winter) from 10 am to 4 pm. The main protagonist are the products of the Ibizan countryside, basically fruits and vegetables, as well as oil, honey, wine and nuts. The offer is completed with other handmade and organic products, both food, cosmetics and decorative.

Port Market

The flea market of the Marina of Ibiza, located on the Antoni Riquer and Sa Tertulia squaresin the port of Vila, was inaugurated in the year 1974.

As reported on its website, the market stalls are usually installed in the month of April and until the end of October, coinciding with the months of greatest tourist activity. The schedule is from 17 hours and extends until 1 or 2 amdepending on the number of visitors.

The traditional craft market of Sant Joan with more than a decade already behind him was held every Sunday, and after a hiatus, has been restarted. It takes place in the center of the village in the morning until approximately 15 hours.

Market of Benirràs

The Benirràs flea market can be visited on tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays from May to the end of September. Opens approximately from 12 to 24 hours.
