Balearic Islands leads in March the job creation and unemployment decrease in Spain

  1. Balearic Islands led in March the drop in unemployment and job creation in Spain, with the largest decreases in unemployment and the largest increases in Social Security enrollment of all regions of the country both compared to February and compared to March 2022.

The average number of members to Social Security in the islands last month was of 493.459 persons26,139 more than in March of last year, a year-on-year increase of 5.59%.

As for unemployment, lhe reduction with respect to March last year was 31.84 %with the number of registered unemployed at the end of the month at 31.84% 33.731 people.

Compared with February, the number of affiliated persons grew by 6.44% in March, with a rise in absolute terms of 29,853 workers.

Unemployment fell by 4.17 % in the Balearic Islands from February to March, as 1,469 people left the unemployment lists, according to data made public this Tuesday by the Government.
