In Barcelona the Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested a man who has been identified by the newspaper El Caso as Pierre Konrad Dadak, an alleged international criminal and arms dealer based in Ibiza and owner of a luxury villa Calรณ d’en Real (Sant Josep). He has already been arrested on the island in 2016 and 2018 (although he was released with charges) and there are several arrest warrants hanging over him, including one issued from Germany and another from a judge in Marbella, related to various crimes including fraud and money laundering.
According to information issued by the Barcelona police, Dadak, a 45-year-old French national, was arrested last Sunday after a hotel informed them that a client had just checked in and that a search warrant had been issued for him according to the application shared by hoteliers and the police.
The Mossos went to the establishment and entered the room, where they found the arms dealer accompanied by two women. The arrested man provided a Polish identity document and was arrested on a charge of fraud, which was included in the arrest warrant issued by a court in Marbella. He explained that he was a businessman and that the company he worked for often did not pay the invoices, but that he ended up doing so afterwards. This was the excuse he gave to explain the order from the Costa del Sol.
Pierre Dadak was taken to police headquarters, where officers found that the detainee also had an active international alert from Germany. He has a criminal record for threats, fraud and crimes against order and security in Germany and is reportedly linked to international investigations related to money laundering and arms trafficking.
