Ibiza Luxury Destination will be promoted in Holland, notably in Amsterdam, where they hope to showcase the island’s luxury at a fair as a pilot test in April.

According to its president, Nuria Moreno, this place was chosen because of the steady increase in Dutch tourists who visit Ibiza each year, particularly during peak season. “It’ll be a mini-fair with around thirty enterprises, travel agencies, tour operators, and specialised media,” she explained.

However, the expansion of Fomento del Turismo’s product club extends even further. She said this at a press brunch to introduce the new ambassador of Ibiza Luxury Destination. Fiona Ferrer, a journalist, fashion entrepreneur, writer, and designer, has joined the roster of 40 ambassadors who have contributed their image to popularise the island.

She was born in Barcelona in 1974 and has been related to Ibiza since then. She is the daughter of Italian model Mietta Leoni, one of the designers of Adlib fashion. “I grew up in Ibiza, and I even went to school here, so this project will be very personal to me,” she explained.

Specifically, Ibiza Luxury Destination revealed during the Feria de Turismo Internacional (Fitur) in Madrid two weeks ago that they will collaborate with the Ibiza fashion brand this year. “This island is a paradise, and the fact that I am an ambassador this year is not by chance; it was written,” Ferrer stated, adding that this relationship stems from a “business profile tied to fashion, luxury, and lifestyle,” and she is confident that “it can work very well.”
