Spain’s airports, including Ibiza airport, are suffering complications due to the crash of Aena’s computer system, which is causing delays. Meanwhile, operations are being carried out with manual systems, according to the company in a notice on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
In addition, it has pointed out that they are working to solve it as soon as possible and that the problems are not affecting all airports equally.
This incident in the computer system coincides with the summer season, a period of great affluence in Spanish airports.
On social networks, many users have begun to report major incidents. At Ibiza airport there have been long queues early in the morning, as well as at Palma airport.
Other users have also complained that “the entrance to the parking lot is not working” and that workers are writing down tickets by hand.
