3 days of Fantasía Ibiza Festival kick off in Vila

The Fantasía Ibiza Festival fills the city center with art and pays tribute to the goddess Tanit and the late Arturo Miranda.

A talk on a strategy for plastic in the circular economy yesterday marked the start of the Fantasía Ibiza Festival, which until Sunday will fill the center of Vila with live art, shows, performances and music in addition to the art market that will remain open all three days in the Plaza del Parque with painters working live. The highlight of the opening day was the ‘Trilogía de la Diosa’ (Trilogy of the Goddess), mounted by the association of Culto a la Diosa Tanit, with production by Mirko Skarica and Flor Torres. In the bastion of Sant Pere, music, performances, visuals and stories were united with paintings on the history of Ibiza by Dominique Sanson, as well as a visual tribute to the recently deceased artist Arturo Miranda. All with the scenography and giant puppets of Theatre of the Ancients.

Concerts followed both in the Reina Sofía and in the bastion, in addition to dance, an artistic action of Lina Andiñach, the acrobatics of Acrobatik and contortions by Podzsisters, ending with the music of Rebecca Gamboa.

Various settings for Fantasía Ibiza Festival

The Ebusus hall, the Parque Reina Sofía, the Plaza del Parque and the bastion of Sant Pere will be the settings for this exhibition for three days. Each day of the Fantasía Ibiza Festival will begin with lectures in Ebusus, live graffiti in the Reina Sofia and the market in the Plaza del Parque, in addition to exhibitions of a dozen artists.

Concerts by artists such as Muriel Grossmann, Ibossim Flamenco, Oggie Marinski and Shakatribe, and experiences such as the dance of Ibiza Tribal Clan, the body painting of Giada Gilardini, the poetry recital of the Ibiza Palabras collective or the performances of Barbara di Giacinto and ellebannA, among many others, are scheduled for today.

On Sunday the presentations at Ebusus will begin at 3pm with ‘Arte y bienestar emocional’ (Art and emotional well-being) by Clara Viguer, live graffiti will return, new concerts by Aigua, Cantanimagong, Black Island, Sasha Galperin or Soul Doctor. Also scheduled is a flashmob at 7pm with various artists, a trip to Indian music and dance with Saigo Dicenta and Tukdam Project, another to Africa with the percussion of Wontanara and video art with Aguascopio, among dozens of other offerings for a weekend full of fantasy.
