The best weekend plans on Ibiza and Formentera

Ibiza Light Festival, metal, theater and gastronomy make for a very full weekend

The third weekend of October comes loaded with cultural and leisure events on Ibiza and Formentera. There is a little bit of everything, shows, music, theater, markets and gastronomy…

One of the most anticipated is the full format return of Ibiza Light Festival, which will once again fill the streets of Dalt Vila this weekend with light and fantasy on Friday and Saturday.

Highlights on this weekend’s music scene include the Can Rock Festival, an appointment with punk and metal on Friday and Saturday in es Canar. Or the closing of the III Festival de Música de Cambra de Santa Eulària, with the family storytelling musical ‘La bruixa Ma-Maduixa’. Sant Rafel has also prepared an interesting local line-up for its OctubreFest, with Niños Raros, The New Young Polaks, Flordhiguera and Billy Flamingos.

Can Ventosa inaugurates its fall season with an outstanding play, ‘Decadencia’ by Steven Berkhof, performed by Maru Valdivielso and Pedro Casablanc, who also directs it.

As for dance, there are two spots on the calendar, on Saturday with ‘Historias de Halloween‘ by Can Planeta at the Cultural Center of Jesus, and the multi-award winning ‘Bach‘, by the company Mal Pelo, on Sunday at Cas Serres for the Dansa del Consell Season.

In addition, on Saturday Santa Eulària invites you to spend a full day in the village, with bargains at the Fira d’Estocs on the one hand, and the tapas from many of its bars and restaurants in a new edition of Tapaví.

So much variety to enjoy:
