The weather for the weekend in Ibiza and Formentera: Yellow Alert for rough seas

The Aemet forecasts heavy rains in the north of the Balearic archipelago that could affect the Pitiusas Islands

The State Meteorological Agency forecasts for this weekend heavy rainfall on Friday and Saturday in the north of the Balearic archipelago that could affect the Pitiusas. The persistence of an area of low pressure in the upper layers of the atmosphere will maintain unstable conditions, which could be accompanied by storms.

The Aemet points out that there may be rainfall in the Balearic Islands during the next seven or eight days, although not widespread, but with occasional and scattered showers. Temperatures will remain cool, with a tendency to rise by the end of next week.

For this friday some precipitation is expected in Ibiza and Formentera and temperatures between 12 and 22 degrees.

The Aemet has activated the yellow alert for rough seas from midnight this Friday until 6:00 a.m. on the morning of saturday for waves of up to two and three meters with wind from the north of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour (force 7). The probability of rain on Saturday is 45% until noon. The minimum and maximum temperature will be 13 and 23 degrees.

The sunday there will be clear skies with clouds and only a 10% chance of precipitation. Temperatures will be unchanged.
