Ibiza introduces a new smoke-free beach this summer

The Conselleria de Salut of the Balearic Government presents the ten new "healthy" beaches

La port de Sant Miquel beach is one of the ten additions of this season to the healthy beaches campaign promoted by the Conselleria de Salut of the Balearic Government, which already has fifty beaches.

This year also incorporates the beach of Muro and eight others in the municipality of Manacor. These beaches are integrated into the awareness campaign ‘Smoke-free beaches, healthy beaches 2024’, in which posters are installed at the entrances to inform users of this new cataloging and invite them to collaborate in maintaining the beaches free of smoke and waste.

The aim of the campaign is to prevent smoking in the marked areas, promote healthy habits and raise awareness among the population about the importance of not leaving waste in natural areas.

On the page ‘Tabaquisme a les Illes Balears’ within the website of the Balearic Government, you can consult the complete list of smoke-free beaches.
