The malfunction electrical breakdown in a hotel located in Ramón Muntaner street in the district of ses Figueretes de Vila, left yesterday without light, for at least six hours, to several neighbors and businesses in the areathe worst thing is that this happens two or three times a year when the tourist season arrives,” laments Beatriz, one of those affected.
At half past six in the morning yesterday the neighbors of this street realized that they had no electricity in their house. “My sister went down to see what was happening and the hotel explained to her that there had been a breakdown,” says this citizen, who adds that the cafes and rent a cars, as well as other businesses located on the same street, locked their doors because they could not work.
“It’s a loss of profit for them. For us, although it doesn’t affect us so much because we don’t stop making money, it does give us a headache“she continues. The victim was trying to contact the company responsible to get information about the breakdown and at least find out when they would be able to get the power back on.
When she did not get an answer from the utility company, she decided to call the Ibiza Local Police, who told her, at midday, that the company was already working to repair the fault. However, the agents did not know how long it would take for the problem to be solved. “They told us that the only thing we could do was to wait.”complains the affected woman.
