New day of Ryanair cancellations at Ibiza’s airport

Ryanair and Marseille air traffic controllers' strike affects a dozen operations

The airport of es Codolar again suffered a day of cancellations yesterday due to the strike by air traffic controllers from Marseille and Ryanair cabin crew, which forced the suspension of at least eleven operations at the closing of this edition.

The Irish airline could not operate the flight from Malaga that should have landed at 14.50 hours and the one at 17.25 from Marseille. Similarly, the two subsequent return flights to both cities also failed to depart.

After this weekend, the Ryanair strike will resume from Friday July 1st to Sunday July 3rd

After this weekend, the Ryanair cabin crew strike is expected to resume from Friday July 1st to Sunday July 3rd, according to the mobilization called by the Unión Sindical Obrera (USO) and the Sindicato Independiente de Tripulantes de Cabina de Pasajeros de Líneas Aéreas (Sitcpla), to demand the signing of a company agreement and “decent working conditions”. These two unions announced that they plan to denounce Ryanair for having set “abusive” minimum services during these six days of mobilization, as well as the Ministry of Transport for violating the right to strike.
