Ibiza and Formentera dawned this Thursday with cloudy skies and rain. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecast a drop in temperatures and rain for this week. A DANA (Isolated High Level Depression) entered on Tuesday through the Cantabrian Sea, affecting the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands the following days, with cold air, first polar and then arctic.
This Thursday the rains will continue in the Pitiusas during practically the whole day, with a 70% probability in the morning and 55% in the afternoon. Temperatures will drop to 4 degrees minimum. The high will not exceed 15 degrees.
The precipitation forecast continues on fridaywith a 55% chance of showers. Temperatures continue to drop to 3 degrees minimum and 15 degrees maximum.
Looking ahead to the weekend this trend will change, as on Saturday the sun will come out again and the minimum and maximum expected will be 5 and 16 degrees. Sunday is also expected to be sunny throughout the day. The minimum temperature according to Aemet will be around nine degrees and the maximum rises to 20 degrees.
