Ibiza airport will have direct flight connections with new destinations this season. Liverpool, Vigo and the Canary Islands are some of these new destinations to fly from the island throughout the spring and summer.

Liverpool

The airline Ryanair announced a new weekly connection from Liverpool John Lennon airport to es Codolar aerodrome. The flights to Ibiza will start on March 28th. According to the Liverpool Echo, Ryanair’s connections from Liverpool to Ibiza were cancelled for the 2022 summer season due to the shortage of slots available at the island’s airport. In addition, there will also be a flight from the English city to Madrid operated by the Irish low cost carrier.

Vigo

Vigo’s Peinador Airport will also have direct flights to Ibiza, Palma, Menorca, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria next summer, as reported a few weeks ago by the mayor, Abel Caballero who explained that these routes will be operated by Air Nostrum airline without public aid. From July 23rd, Ibiza will have three weekly flights.

Canary Islands

The Canary airline Binter will start operating direct connections from Ibiza to Gran Canaria and Tenerife this summer during July and August. Thus, Binter announces that this summer it will start flying to two new destinations: Granada and Ibiza, which will reinforce its domestic offer, with which it links the Canary Islands and 15 airports in the Peninsula through 21 routes and up to 48 weekly flights.

Lisbon

Portugal and Ibiza will also be more connected this coming season. Easyjet has announced three new routes to connect the Balearic Islands with Lisbon this summer season. The airports of Palma de Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza will have two flights a week, each one of them, to the Portuguese capital, according to the British company

Menorca

Air Nostrum, Iberia’s franchise airline for regional flights, has launched a promotional campaign for Balearic inter-island routes. From Ibiza, two flights will depart: on Wednesdays and Fridays. Promotional prices start at 19.93 euros, the airline said in a statement.

The promotion ‘Vuela en Primavera’ (Fly in Spring) lasts until Sunday the 12th. You can fly with these special prices from March 1st, 2023 to June 15th, 2023 which is the last date for the return flight. Seats are limited. Tickets can be purchased at www.iberia.com and travel agencies.

On the other hand, Air Europa has reached a Code Share agreement with UEP!Fly, the airline focused on inter-island air traffic, to guarantee connectivity between the Balearic Islands. In this way and according to Air Europa in a statement, the company will stop operating between islands next March 26th, but will maintain connectivity by deploying its code on flights operated by uepfly.com between Mallorca and Menorca, and Mallorca and Ibiza, respectively.
