The squall Karlotta has already passed over Spain with important storms in several areas of the country, but from now on an anticyclonic ridge will bring important changes in the weather.
Famed meteorologist Mario Picazo has reported on the unusual changes that the weather has in store for us. First of all, this week the rains will start to become less frequent and it will only be necessary to take out the umbrella in the west and northwest areas of the peninsula.
“If a week ago it was just finishing the early spring two weeks that we experienced at the end of January, we now we are back to a similar situation that will possibly not last so long. Already from this Monday we are going to see how ttemperatures are climbing both during the day and at night to values that are unusual for this time of year,” explains Picazo.
Temperatures
The expert adds that several capitals will exceed 20 degrees Celsius and others will exceed 25 degrees Celsius. Daytime temperatures are expected to rise throughout the country.
“It seems that next weekend temperatures will drop somewhat although the values will remain above the usual average for those dates. If it is true that unlike January, February, also known as crazy February, is usually characterized by thermal ups and downs with sometimes high anomalies”.
The meteorologist has commented that between Tuesday and Wednesday, “a southwesterly flow will be responsible for injecting some moisture as an atmospheric river through the southwest peninsular to generate some precipitation in that corner of the peninsula”.
Not only that, but between Wednesday and Thursday, “a new squall with an associated front will also leave precipitations mainly in areas of the northwest where wind and waves are also strong”.
