A man assaults a couple with a knife while they are in bed at an Ibiza villa, and is subsequently found drowned

A couple has been stabbed this Monday, shortly before 9 am, by a man in a villa located in the area of Cala Bassa, in the municipality of Sant Josep, according to the Guardia Civil. For the moment it is not known what caused the incident and whether the man lived with the couple or was staying there.

When the Civil Guard arrived at the scene of the incident, the alleged assailant, a middle-aged man of Spanish nationality, had fled the scene. The agents have begun the search and have found the lifeless body in the vicinity of sa Pedrera, next to Port des Torrent, on the coast of Sant Josep.

The man has appeared drowned and the Guardia Civil is awaiting the autopsy to confirm whether the assailant committed suicide after the stabbing, repentant for what he had done. At the moment they are investigating the evidence and taking statements from all persons related to the case.

The two injured

The two people were admitted to the Hospital de Can Misses at 9.20 hoursthe Health Area of Ibiza and Formentera explains.

The victims are a man of 32 years oldof Spanish nationality, with wounds to the thorax, who is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)conscious and stable in serious condition. The other victim is a 26-year-old woman, also of Spanish nationality, who was admitted to the emergency room with wounds to the lumbar region and to the ICU , conscious and stable in serious condition 15 hourshas been discharged.

At first, the victims have gone to the Health Center of Sant Antoni and later have been transferred to the Hospital Can Misses by SAMU061.
