The weekend of April 28-29 is one of the most expensive of the season for hotels and tourist accommodations in Ibiza due to the opening of the main nightclubs and the extended weekend for May Day.
Platja d’en Bossa and Vila are particularly affected, with rates being almost tripled in some establishments. The Montesol hotel in Vila, for example, costs almost a thousand euros per night during the opening weekend, compared to 339 and 306 euros on the weekend before and after, respectively.
However, establishments farther from the nightclubs, such as the Aguas de Ibiza in Santa Eulària or the Bless hotel in Cala Nova, show less difference in prices.
On Airbnb, prices for tourist accommodations also rise during the opening weekend, with apartments and villas in Platja d’en Bossa being particularly affected.
