Ibiza is among the most sought after destinations for New Year’s Eve

Ibiza and Palma are among the most desired destinations for Europeans to spend New Year’s Eve and welcome 2024, according to a study by the flight and hotel search engine Jetcost.

Specifically, the Balearic capital is the most sought-after Spanish city for Germans and the seventh most sought-after for French people who intend to travel to end the year.

The other Balearic island that appears in the ranking is Ibiza, which is the twelfth most sought after by the Germans, tenth by the British, French and Dutch; ninth by the Italians and fifth by the Portuguese.

London, Tenerife, Paris…

On the other hand, Palma is also among those sought after by Spanish tourists in 14th place, in a list led by London, Tenerife and Paris.

Likewise, Palma also appears 11th in the ranking of the most sought after by the British and Dutch, 12th by the Italians and eighth by the Portuguese.

In this way, Jetcost ensures that the trend of Europeans to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas with their families and take advantage of their year-end vacations to travel and discover new destinations is confirmed, as searches for flights for the end of the year 2023 have increased by 20%, while those for hotels have increased by 24% compared to 2022, according to the same source.
