In Ibiza, the rainfall record is 42% higher than the annual average. According to the average of the four Aemet stations, “ since the beginning of this year 550 liters per square meter have fallen, which is about 160 liters more than the average, approximately 390 liters per square meter,” said the meteorologist.

Miguel Gili stressed that the month of November “is the wettest of the year and it is normal for storms to penetrate from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean and leave heavy rains. However, he clarified: “The extraordinary thing is that we’ve had heavy rains during November for many days, for example at the airport of Ibiza and until the 22nd of November, there have only been five days in which no rain has been collected. It is not normal for it to rain so persistently”. Historical records show that ten years ago, in 2011, 211 liters was recorded in Ibiza in the month of November.
