Easter is a good time to get to know Ibiza. The weather is usually nice and the sea is more beautiful than ever. In addition, the tourists who in summer visit the island motivated by the sun, the beach and the party, have not yet arrived. Below is a guide to get to know the must-see places on the island in three days:

DAY 1: Stroll through the World Heritage Site to the most essential tradition

The day can start with a visit to the walled enclosure of Dalt Vila, declared by Unesco as a World Heritage Site in 1999. This is the upper town of Ibiza, a network of cobbled alleys, whitewashed facades and corners full of essence. If you like art, you can not miss visiting the Puget Museum.

Once you have reached the top of Dalt Vila, with the Cathedral crowning the walled city, if you have been left wanting to discover more about the first civilizations of Ibiza you can visit the Puig des Molins Museumwhere you can observe the most extensive and best preserved necropolis in the world.

The route of this first day will take you to the small village of Sant Carles, one of the most charming places on the island. In this town you will find the Las Dalias flea market, open every day in summer and on weekends in winter. Stroll among the stalls, delight yourself with silver jewelry, leather accessories or try handmade musical instruments are some of the things that will make you lose track of time.

After the las Dalias flea market we recommend to get your strength in the traditional Bar Anneta, located at the foot of the road, in front of the church. It is one of the establishments with more history of the island of Ibiza, which transports you to the time of the hippies. Characteristic of this bar are the mailboxes that there are so that the neighbors can pick up their correspondence there and, as for gastronomy, do not forget to try the Ibizan herbs that they elaborate in a handmade way. In addition, you will also be able to taste typical dishes and desserts of the island.

The first day of this trip will end in Santa Eulària, a town located between Sant Carles and Ibiza town. In Santa Eulària you can take a pleasant walk along the coast and enjoy any of the establishments that are located at the foot of the promenade.

The church (Puig de Missa), located on top of a mountain, and the views that can be seen from there are a real gem that are well worth a visit.

DAY 2: The route of the white villages

Ibiza has five municipalities that are home to numerous villages, some of them tiny.

The route of this second day will start in Santa Gertrudis and then go to Sant Miquel and arrive at Sant Joan, located in the north of the island. The essential stop in Santa Gertrudis is the Costa bar, where internationally renowned snacks are served. Sant Miquel and Sant Joan, meanwhile, are places where you can experience the ‘slow life’, calm and tranquility.

After Sant Joan, the visitor can head to Santa Agnès and taste the famous omelettes of Bar Cosmi. A valley full of almond trees will make your visit a real spectacle at any time of the year, but especially in February, when these trees bloom. It is possible to go around the valley through a circular route that will take you to a cliff with breathtaking views: it is the sa Penya Esbarradaalso known as the Gates of Heaven.

DAY 3: Relax by the sea

The route of the third and last day will take the visitor to the western part of the island of Ibiza. Starting the tour in ses Salines, natural park, you can skirt the ponds of the salt pans and enjoy, depending on the season, the flamingos that make Ibiza their habitat. A walk along the beach of ses Salines to finish at the Torre de ses Portes, one of the defensive constructions of the many that are on the island distributed along the coast. From this point you can see the passage between Ibiza and Formentera, es Freus.

After this relaxing stroll, the visitor can head towards sa Caleta, one of the most authentic beaches and where you can see the Phoenician settlement, the first settlement on the island.

Then, we advise you to go to Sant Josep and choose among the many beach options offered by this municipality. Cala Bassa, Cala d’Hort, Platges de Comte or Cala Tarida are some of the best sandy beaches in Ibiza and all of them are located in this municipality.

A swim in any of these beaches or even a nap if the weather does not accompany, are some of the best options to return to the destination of origin with the best of energies.
