The ‘Concurs d’Arròs Mariner Peix Nostrum’ in Ibiza, now in its fifth edition, is a culinary competition focusing on local seafood. This year, it moves from the port of Vila to the historic Mercat Vell, aligning with the 150th anniversary of the Marina market. Organized by the City Council, Peix Nostrum, and the Fishermen’s Guild, teams compete to prepare the best rice dish using Ibizan fish. Cooking starts at 11.30 a.m. at Plaza de la Constitución, with dishes judged at 1.30 p.m. The event also features a theater show and entertainment for children, offering a festive atmosphere for participants and spectators.
