The insular councilor of Mobility, Rafael Gonzรกlezrecalled that “the objective is to promote sustainable mobility in the Natural Park of Ses Salines and avoid saturation situations in this area of environmental importance and great tourist attraction”.

Since it began to regulate access to the area through an agreement with the company Ibifor, which manages businesses and parking lots in this environment, situations of traffic collapse of the access roads to one of the most frequented beaches of Formentera, as is ses Illetes, have been avoided.

On the other hand, in recent years there has been a progressive increase in the number of visitors arriving on foot by taking the Sa Sequi road. The same happens with cyclists, who have this alternative route to La Savina.

The period of regulation of the access to ses Illetes will be extended until September 30while access to the area of es Cavall d’en Borrร s and Llevant will be regulated between June 1 and September 15.

When all the parking spaces are full, access by car or motorcycle is limited depending on the space left free in the areas enabled in this natural enclave.
