Depending on the passenger, a flight attendant‘s work can become very complicated on a flight. Irrespective of any technical faults that an aircraft may suffer, the various cabin crews generally agree that the attitude of some travelers is what makes the difference between a good flight and a bad one.
Some British flight attendants have explained in a thread on the Reddit platform their experiences and the less pleasant routes they work on. They agree that the flights to Ibiza are the most problematic, the main reason being is that many passengers “mistake the aircraft for a bar”, so drunken travelers end up being the most problematic.
Flight attendants rank other Spanish cities
Although Ibiza ranks as one of the destinations that produces the most headaches in the air, they also talk about other Spanish cities, such as Alicante, Malaga and Palma de Mallorca.
One of the flight attendants writes on Reddit that on a flight to Ibiza a group of girls who were going to celebrate a bachelorette party on the island left one of their friends, who was very drunk, on the plane. In the end they had to take her out of the plane in a wheelchair because she could hardly walk.
Another crewmember writes, “Public service warning! Do not fly to Ibiza on Fridays in summer” a clear reminder that on those days many British people take a plane to spend the weekend partying on Ibiza, a party that sometimes starts onboard of the aircraft.
A flight attendant comments that British passengers are the worst. The best, however, seem to be the French.
