The month of February begins and with a full agenda on the Pitiusa’s after a few quiet weeks after the end of the Christmas holidays.

This weekend is packed with theater, concerts, conferences, cinema and traditional celebrations, but among all the programming highlights the Concurso Mundial de Arroz de Matanzas which will once again fill the center of Sant Antoni with participating teams and the public this Saturday.

The festival program is completed with the night walk to view the almond trees of Corona under Friday’s full moon and the Festa de l’Ametlla of Corona on Sunday. In addition to the musical paella of the Retro Association on Sunday at the Hotel Puchet, with Simple Rock and the classic Los Diablos.

Music has two important events: the concert by the veteran Valencian singer-songwriter Paco Ibáñez on Saturday on Formentera and the ‘Concert de Solistes’ by the Banda Simfònica Ciutat d’Eivissa on the same day at the Can Ventosa auditorium in Vila.

And for the whole family there are several events on Saturday: The theater play ‘La Reina del Arga’ supported by the Platea circuit, at the Cas Serres auditorium; the storytelling ‘L’arbre dels contes’ with David i Monma at Can Ventosa, and the return of the galas ‘Magia en Familia’ by the Ibiza and Formentera Magic Association, in the Residencia Reina Sofia auditorium.

Also on Sunday the recycling fair ‘Jesús Reutiliza’ will be celebrated after being suspended last week, and a charity excursion for the benefit of IFCC in Santa Eulària.
