AEMET warns of what will arrive this Tuesday to Spain: this is how it will affect Ibiza

Temperatures will start to drop and strong winds are expected over the weekend

The late drop in temperatures in the Balearic Islands, which came later than in the mainland, seems to be coming to an end this week, the same week in which Christmas will officially begin. Moreover, this change in trend also occurs in the same week in which the winter season begins, starting on Friday 22nd.

This Monday the minimum temperatures have already reached 3ºC in some municipalities such as Sant Joan, and in areas such as the Ibiza airport the minimums are already close to 6ºC. As of tuesdaythe AEMET announces more variations in the island’s temperatures.

As of this Tuesday, nighttime temperatures are expected to drop. During the day, no major changes are expected and thermometers will remain around ones 18 ºC highs. However, minimums will drop by as much as 4ºC.

The wednesdaywill be nighttime temperatures those suffering from a slight rise, while daytime temperatures will begin to decrease. During the day, the maximums will be above 17 ºC and the minimum in about 8ºC.

The saturday 23rd thermometers will be maintained, accompanied by clear or slightly cloudy skies. The gusts of wind will increase in strength over the weekend, and could become very strong.

At Christmas Eveon Sunday, the 24th, the skies will remain clear or slightly cloudy, and the temperatures will not suffer great changes. As for the windthe AEMET maintains the doubt, pointing out that there are still “high uncertainty”.
