The great battle returns. If anyone these days has found it hard to find tomatoes in the markets and supermarkets of Sant Antoni, do not panic. It is that the carthaginians and Romans are making provision of them for the great battle, which returns to the beach of s’Arenal this weekend, in the last throes of the program of festivities of Sant Bartomeu. The war to tomatazo limpio will come on Saturday (19.30 pm)but on Friday at the same time will begin the preparations and training of the children’s troops. So that they can learn.
Those of Sant Bartomeu are not the only festivities of this end of August. Those of San Agustí continue with some events after the big day with astronomy workshops (Friday, 9.30 p.m.), music festival (Friday, 7 p.m.) and concerts (Saturday from 9 p.m.). And on Friday and Saturday (10 p.m.) he will take the stage of the Comandancia the opera ‘Tosca’. On Friday, just a few meters away, in the Reina Sofia Park (9 p.m.), the Argentine singer will tell, with her voice, her ‘Idyll with Havana’.
