A United States Air Force (USAF) plane, the C-5M Super Galaxy, flew over the island of Ibiza this Saturday. The aircraft took off this morning from the Rota naval base in Cádiz on an unknown course and crossed the Ibizan sky at around 11:15 am, according to Spain Mil Radar’s social network account on X.
The plane was flying at 452 knots (more than 800 kilometers per hour) of speed and at about 30,000 ft (9,000 meters above sea level) as it passed over the island.
The Lockheed C-5 Galaxy is among the largest military aircraft in the world. It is a U.S. military transport aircraft, designed and built by Lockheed and provides the U.S. Air Force (USAF) with intercontinental-range heavy strategic lift capability.
