Taking an antigen self-test at a pharmacy supervised by health professionals will remain free of charge, subject to payment of the cost of the diagnostic test. However, the user must pay 5€ if he or she requires the pharmacy to give a formal document proving that the client is free of covid, as several sports federations require in order to participate in their events.
The College of Pharmacists stated that these certificates are not valid for travel within the European Union, nor for entry to cultural acts or events, or for entering catering businesses, all of which required a covid test certificate and the showing of a covid passport with the immunization schedule.
Four pharmacies in Ibiza offering covid test certificate
There is a list of pharmacies accredited to supervise the performance of these tests on the website of the Official College of Pharmacists of the Balearic Islands (Cofib), which at the time of writing this information amounted to 68 establishments, the vast majority of which were in Mallorca, with the exception of three pharmacies willing to collaborate in Menorca (in Ciutadella, Maó, and Sant Lluís) and another four in Ibiza (two in Sant Antoni, one in Portinatx and another in Santa Gertrudis).
Without going any further, there are up to 22 pharmacies in Palma where Ciutat residents can get a “official” diagnostic test to help them speed up the procedures for obtaining medical leave from work.
Currently, each licensed facility has a telephone number next to it on the Cofib website (www.cofib.es) for the purpose of planning a visit to the pharmacy ahead of time.
However, according to official sources from the College of Pharmacists, an application will be ready this week in which the user will be able to choose, among those available, the date and time to be supervised at the time of the exam. This tool will make pharmacists’ jobs easier since they will be able to better organize themselves based on the demands of the tests they receive.
