Air traffic continues to grow in Ibiza and accumulates in the first six months of the year a total of 3,611,510 passengers, which implies an increase of 2.8% compared to the first six months of 2023 (3,511,735 travelers).
Data from AENA, the manager of the country’s airports, indicate that last June generated a volume of passengers 3.1% higher than in the same month last summer, reaching the figure of 1,233,976 users.
In terms of operations, there were 10,803 (always counting landings and take-offs). Of these, 10,141 were commercial connections. Of these, according to AENA, 418,117 were domestic flights, an increase of 1.9%, while 812,419 opted for international connections, a figure that implies a growth of 3.7% with respect to the sixth month of 2023.
With regard to international traffic, the countries with the highest passenger demand were the United Kingdom, with 312,332 passengers; Italy, with 138,035, and Germany, with 106,267.
Most of the activity at the es Codolar terminal last month originated precisely in commercial routes, totaling 1,230,536 passengers.
