The Health Department of Ibiza and Formentera yesterday reported the detection of 29 new positive covid cases, 28 in Ibiza and one in Formentera. Despite this, the figures continue to improve, as doctors have provided 37 discharges, bringing the number of active cases down to 225. The number of people hospitalised has also reduced, as two patients who were admitted to Can Misses Hospital were discharged.
According to data from the Pitiusa Health Department, 53% of the people admitted to Can Misses have already tested negative for the virus. As of today, in the Pitiusas there are 18 patients hospitalized for covid, three of them in the ICU. Regarding mild or asymptomatic cases in home monitoring, the number is reduced to 207, one in Formentera and the rest in Ibiza. As of today there are four health professionals in active surveillance, two of which are positive.
In the Balearic Islands as a whole, the Ministry of Health reported yesterday a total of 75 new positives, including 30 cases in Mallorca, 6 in Menorca and another 10 of which the island of origin is not recorded.
