Ibiza Danza Platform (IDP) returns to Ibiza with its second edition at the hands of the dancers and choreographers from Ibiza and based in London, Lucía Marín and Adrián Gas. This intensive course will bring together the best dance teachers in the world in a series of classes that will be complemented with different activities to spread the essence of Ibiza between the 25th and 29th of August in the es Viver sports centre.

The organisers of the event presented this edition at the hotel The Ibiza Twiins together with the Councillor for Culture of Ibiza, Pep Tur; the Councillors for Tourism Promotion and Culture of Sant Josep, Eduardo Sánchez and Cristina Ribas, and the island director of Culture, Education and Heritage, Miquel Costa. This event was also presented at the International Tourism Fairs in Madrid and London, Fitur and World Travel Market.
“After the first edition in 2019 in which we had many people registered, we are very surprised because, despite all the problems that are happening with covid, we have seen that people are eager to participate in this type of event. Dancers come from all over the world excited to enjoy this experience,” said the organizers of the IDP. “The first edition had a hundred people registered and it was a great success,” added Lucía Marín .
“This project came to our minds, to bring everything we have learned abroad to Ibiza, with the aim of giving back everything it has given us at a formative level,” said Marín, who, like Adrián Gas, has lived in London for many years. “We saw that all our friends were coming to Ibiza for their holidays, and we realised that it was the perfect opportunity to unite the two things about the island: its beauty and dance,” added Gas.
Choreographers from all over the world
“We brought choreographers from all over the world who wanted to participate in this event,” Gas said. Candace Brown (Los Angeles), Yanis Marshal (France), Nika Kljun, the only teacher who return from the first edition (USA), Dylan Mayoral (England), Zacc Milne (Ireland), Christin Olesen (Switzerland), Carlos Díaz (Spain) and Shay Latukolan (Holland) are the teachers who will give classes in this Intensive Urban Dance Course, a cast of high level teachers that will offer a huge variety of styles to students from all over Europe who attend, and to students from dance schools in Ibiza over 14 years old. In addition, it also seeks to promote tourism on the island so that its participants can enjoy their surroundings to the fullest.
