The Can Ventosa auditorium will host the show ‘Simplemente Lorca’ this Friday, starting at 8:30 pm. This is a journey through the life and musical facet of Federico García Lorca, featuring a total of 10 artists on stage who will perform the popular songs that the poet himself set to music.
The protagonists of the show are: Lucía Herranz (soprano), Elvira Ramón (piano), Héctor Koa (flute), Frank Cogollos (percussion) and the actor Rubén Rubio. The corps de ballet includes Rocío Osuna as lead dancer, as well as Cristina Núñez, Feli Ruiz, José María Carriazo and Diego Díaz.
Santa Cecilia Concert
In addition, Can Ventosa will host this Saturday, at 7 p.mto the Cor i Banda Simfònica Ciutat d’Ibiza, that will offer the concert of Santa Cecilia for the benefit of Addif. Tickets cost five euros and can be purchased at the Addif headquarters (Mercat Nou), from 9.30 am to 2 pm, at the Patronato de Música tomorrow, Thursday, from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm or one hour before the concert (from 6 pm). The first part of the program will be performed by the choir, which will play ‘Popular sentiment in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance” under the direction of Miguel San Miguel. The second part will be for the Ciutat d’Ibiza Symphonic Bandwith the pasodoble ‘Música y pueblo’ by Ferrer Ferran. It will be followed by ‘Canciones de Madre’ (concert piece) by Rafael Talens. The direction is in charge of Vicente Mendoza.
Finally, on Sunday, November 19 at 6 p.malso in Can Ventosa, the Orquestra Simfònica Ciutat d’Ibiza will offer a concert. In this case the program includes a piece by Bacarisse, concertino for guitar in A minor, op 72′and will be followed by the ‘Amor brujo’ (Witch Love) in its first version by Manuel de Falla, which will be interpreted by Álvaro Toscano on guitar and Verónica San Juan on vocals. In this case, the direction is by Fernando Marina. In this concert the entrance is free, but requires prior reservation through the website of the City Council of Ibiza.
