The festival organized by the Santa Eulària City Council will open this Friday with the show ‘Humor amb denominació d’origen’ and will bring together José Boto and Laura Moreno on the stage of the Puig d’en Valls auditorium, who focus their show on a local humor that has had great results with other shows such as the play ‘Ocho apellidos ibicencos’ by Boto himself. In this case, the show is recommended for ages 14 and up, and the ticket price is 5 euros if booked through the website and 7 euros if purchased at the box office one hour before the start of the show.
Three days of laughter in Santa Eulària
The festival will continue the next day with a double date. On the one hand, the Centre Cultural de Jesús will host one of the offerings that brings national figure to the island. Jaime Borromeo, is best known for his characterization as a child. But beyond this, Jaimito Borromeo has developed a career of more than 20 years as a comedian who is both a monologuist master and a classic comedian. His offering is called ‘Después de la tormenta, llegan las risas’ (After the storm, comes the laughter) and is suitable for all audiences. His performance will be at 8:30 pm. Tickets cost 5 euros online and 7 at the box office.
‘Memoria histérica’
On the same Saturday, at Santa Eulària’s Teatro España at 8:30 pm José Boto, José Campoy and María Alarcón will bring their successful show ‘Memoria histérica’. It is a humorous allegory against wars, specifically, but more generally, against confrontations and disputes. As the synopsis of the show explains: “Is there a better weapon than words, irony and laughter to disarm your enemy? Can your enemy be your best friend?”. Tickets are available for 5 and 7 euros.
The highlight of the festival is the performance of Santi Rodriguez at the Palacio de Congresos on Sunday 20th, from 8pm. The popular actor and comedian will present his show for all audiences ‘Como en casa de uno en ningún sitio’. This is a show that has completed six seasons on the stages of Madrid in which Rodriguez talks about tourism, traveling abroad and the concept of ‘guiri’ and how we end up becoming one of them when we go sightseeing. Tickets for the show will cost 10 euros if purchased in advance and 12 if bought at the box office.
Tickets for all shows can be obtained in advance through the ‘ticket sales’ section of www.santaeulariadesriu.com. In all cases, the seating capacity and health measures for access to the shows will be those established by covid regulations.
