Ibiza is once again proving to be a favourite destination for international football stars looking to relax and recover after a demanding season. This time, Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé and Paris Saint-Germain right-back Achraf Hakimi have been spotted training at the Sánchez and Vivancos athletics track as they make the most of their final days of holiday before returning to training with their respective clubs.
Both players had already been seen enjoying Ibiza’s leisure and nightlife scene several weeks ago. This time, however, they opted for a more sporting setting, using the Ibiza athletics track to regain their fitness and build up their physical condition ahead of the new season. Mbappé has once again chosen the island for his summer break, as he has done in previous years, spending part of his holiday with his partner, actress Ester Expósito, who also considers Ibiza one of her favourite destinations.
UD Ibiza players, who were training at the Palladium, took the opportunity to meet both football stars and pose for photos with them on the eve of the derby they will play this Saturday against SD Ibiza at Palladium Can Misses.
Mbappé will return to training with his Real Madrid teammates in the coming days after the Spanish giants announced the arrival of Yan Diomandé and the renewal of Vinicius Jr., two of the French forward’s key attacking partners. Hakimi has also become a regular visitor to Ibiza and was keen to return to the island shortly after completing his international commitments with Morocco. The former Real Madrid player will return to training with the Parisian club after winning the European title for a second consecutive year with Luis Enrique’s side, bringing an end to a holiday that reflects Ibiza’s growing appeal among international football stars.
