The seventh edition of the island’s health and wellbeing festival brought together around 250 people, with fitness, healthy eating, meditation and sustainable living on the programme despite torrential rain forcing a last-minute venue change.
Bless Hotel in Platja d’en Bossa became the improvised setting for the closing day of Ibiza Wellness Weekend on Sunday, welcoming around 250 people to the health and lifestyle festival organised for the past seven years by Ibiza Health and Beauty, the wellness brand of Fomento del Turismo de Ibiza. The association brings together tourism businesses and dozens of collaborators across the island.
The event had originally been scheduled to take place at Hotel Ca na Xica but was moved at the last minute because of the severe weather affecting Ibiza and Formentera.
Despite the torrential rain, the programme featured well-known names from the worlds of wellness and sport. During the morning, sisters Tamara and Sheila de León led a Pilates class in the hotel ballroom, providing a sheltered space for participants to exercise away from the downpours battering the Pityusic Islands.
They were followed by instructor Crys Dyaz, who led a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) session. The morning’s workout programme concluded with yoga sessions led by Vela Wellness and Elsa Yoga.

Special guest Samantha Vallejo-Nágera shares her approach to healthy living
Samantha Vallejo-Nágera, the chef and television personality known for her role on MasterChef, was among the festival’s headline guests. She spoke about healthy habits and how to strike a balance between a structured approach to eating and the occasional indulgences that make life enjoyable.
“My food philosophy is all about balance,” she said. “I love going to restaurants and really treating myself, but that night, steamed leeks, for example, are the perfect solution after a day when I’ve eaten too much.”
Vallejo-Nágera also revealed her enthusiasm for Ibiza’s nightlife, while explaining that she has been physically active since childhood.
“Sport has given me a lot, because I also really enjoyed going out partying — I’m not going to pretend otherwise — but I’ve always played sport,” she said.
She encouraged attendees to choose seasonal produce and keep a well-stocked fridge and pantry, making it easier to prepare meals at home and avoid unhealthy habits such as relying on food delivery.
After her talk, participants enjoyed a cocktail-style lunch before attending a plant workshop led by influencer Nena Plants Flow.
The afternoon programme continued with a panel discussion entitled Women Entrepreneurs in Regenerative Projects, featuring businesswomen and journalists working in the cosmetics and wellness industries.

Meditation meets electronic music
The programme then turned to Suco meditation, a contemporary method combining breathing techniques with free movement, introspection, dance and electronic music.
Participants wore wireless headphones, designed to enhance the sense of immersion and personal reflection during the session.
The festival concluded with a live performance by Sandra Bernardo, a singer-songwriter whose music blends organic folk-pop with contemporary singer-songwriter influences.
Local crafts and Mediterranean-inspired art
Alongside the wellness activities, the event featured around ten craft stalls showcasing artisanal products.
American artist Liz Kueneke also presented artworks inspired by the Mediterranean Sea, alongside Aguascopio, an audiovisual project she shares with graphic artist Taisyia Menaker.
Despite the disruption caused by the weather, the seventh Ibiza Wellness Weekend brought together movement, nutrition, creativity and music in a programme highlighting the island’s health and wellbeing scene.
