Firefighters have gone to Ibiza airport this Monday morning to rescue a worker who has been hanging from a crane more than 15 meters high. His harness has prevented a tragedy and the worker has been suspended in the air.

After receiving the 9.28 hours after the emergency alert, a total of five professionals of the Parque Insular have moved to the airport of es Codolar on board of an autoescalera vehicle, which they have used to approach the worker and rescue him unharmed.

The evacuee, they have specified from the fire station, has remained at all times and has been attended by medical emergencies.

This is not the first accident with the airport under construction that required firefighters’ action. Last November 25, they had to evacuate an injured man after falling from the second floor slab of the new parking building. On this occasion, they immobilized the victim and transferred him to an ambulance.
