Women entrepreneurs to share experiences in Ibiza this Saturday

The City Council of Ibiza and the Consell insular presented yesterday the fifth edition of Woman Rocks fifth edition of Woman Rocks to be held this Saturday, from 10 a.m., at the Casal d’Igualtat. The second deputy mayor, Catiana Fuster and the Councilor for Equality of Vila, Sara Barbado; the insular councilor of Social Welfare, Carolina Escandelland the founder of Woman Rocks, Nadia Nemer explained this Monday, in a press conference that a total of 10 women entrepreneurs four of them from the island, will share their experience with the public. “The aim of the organization is to promote female entrepreneurship having great and recognized professionals in the sector touching topics related to the professional work of women and entrepreneurship. Therefore, from the City Council of Ibiza we have decided to support this initiative, which helps to break glass ceilings as it shows success stories of women, who have undertaken despite the difficulties, “said the Councilor for Equality. Then, Fuster added that this initiative serves to share experiences and to meet women of reference in different areas of work that can serve as inspiration. For her part, the Councilor for Social Welfare stressed that with this Woman Rocks 2024, included in the programming of the International Women’s Day, the protagonists “will offer the public a mirror to look into and show that with tenacity, initiative and work projects that a few years ago would have been unfeasible can be carried out. Therefore, this type of meetings of entrepreneurs serve to make visible the work of women entrepreneurs,” said Escandell.

This edition will feature nine nationally and internationally recognized women entrepreneurs who will meet through a comprehensive program designed to motivate and provide the necessary knowledge to undertake all those women who want to develop professionally.

Participants

Through the success stories of Irene Milián Martínez, Celia Rubio, Ana Muñoz Cobo, Patricia Bárcena Barreiro, Mari Fuentes, Nadia Nemer, Montse Monsalve, Yasmina Delgado Solera, Yesica Pelaez Crespo and Yaima Arias Gonzales, attendees will discover different ventures and how many of them have coped with the pandemic. In addition, they will find inspiration and motivation to start or continue their projects.

“There are things that you only come to understand when you have lived them, so from Woman Rocks we want to promote the entrepreneurial spirit of women, that they feel identified and can launch themselves to live their passion,” said Nadia Nemer, organizer of the event, who added that entrepreneurship is “a long journey, is to start a new adventure and throw yourself into the void”. “For this reason, Woman Rocks aims to be a unique adventure that will bring together the best female entrepreneurs to talk about what we are most passionate about, that great journey that is entrepreneurship,” she concluded.
