Ibiza had its first tropical night of July yesterday. Temperatures were between 20 and 22 degrees in coastal areas. Tropical nights are those in which the temperature does not fall below 20 degrees, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet). In the airport zone the thermometer reached 22 degrees, something that also happened in several points of the island.
Consistent average temperatures
The average is constant on Ibiza: 31 degrees are expected this week. “The first thing is that in Ibiza there is no heat wave, we are on the sidelines at the moment with 31 degrees in Vila and indoors the thermometer reaches 32 degrees,” said a spokesman for Aemet yesterday, which still clarified that the summer as a whole is warmer than usual, as established by historical models.
Clear skies
For today clear skies are expected on Ibiza with an average of 31 degrees in coastal areas and 33 degrees inland with wind from the east. The Aemet assures that for tomorrow the temperatures will be stable and will remain practically the same throughout this week.
On July 9th the thermometer reached 30.4 degrees in Ibiza, a little less than the last few days. Even so, Aemet considers that these are quite stable temperatures.
