Up to December 30th, 2022, the Tax Agency has paid 96.96% of the 2021 IRPF refunds in the Balearic Islands, amounting to 208.7 million euros, compared to the amount of 219.5 million corresponding to 2020, 4.91% less.
As reported by the Ministry of Finance and Civil Service in a statement, the refunds have thus reached a total of 288,355 taxpayers in the archipelago.
In addition, the Agency received 572,594 2021 IRPF returns from the islands, compared to 556,512 filed in 2020, representing a difference of 2.89%.
Tax Agency data at the national level
At the national level, refunds have reached 94.9%, with a total of 9.67 billion euros paid out. In addition, the Tax Agency has made 97.5% of the requested refunds and has reached 13,534,000 taxpayers.
The Tax Agency received 22,146,000 IRPF 2021 returns, 1.9% more than the previous year. Estimates point out that tax returns with a balance to be paid grew significantly, while those with a result to be refunded decreased.
