The Sonorama Ribera goes to Ibiza 2022 festival opened on Thursday with side activities and an opening party in which two Ibizan bands, the young Niรฑos Raros and the already veteran Stone Corners, were the stars.
To begin with, Belako shared their concerns, experience and reflections about the history of their band and the reality of many groups and artists in our country with the journalist and writer Fernando Navarro. After them, in the Cinerama of Grand Paradiso Ibiza the documentary by Eme DJ was presented, in which Marta Fierro bears all to talk about how anxiety has accompanied her in some moments of her career.
Meanwhile, Venice Bay was inaugurated, the new space from Concept Hotel Group, where all the paid programming of the weekend will take place. Ibiza’s local rock was the star of the day, with artists such as Niรฑos Raros and Stone Corners, enlivened in the intermissions with the sessions of dj Colin Peters.
Collaboration from the City Council and the Consell de Ibiza in Sonorama
To inaugurate the festival, Diego Calvo (CEO and co-founder Concept Hotel Group) and Javier Ajenjo (director of Sonorama Ribera and representative of Sonorama Ribera Ibiza) welcomed the public from the stage of workers and artists in two speeches in which they emphasized the support for the bands, the passion for rock and thanked the collaboration by the City Council of Sant Josep and the Consell de Ibiza to carry out the festival. Ajenjo recalled the philosophy of Sonorama Ribera, accompanied by the firm intention to improve, to listen to the public and to make a festival “continually better for everyone”.
