The players of the Spanish national football team will parade through the streets of Ibiza with the World Cup this afternoon. The players will arrive on the island before noon, and at 5 pm they will parade by bus to the Consell de Eivissa, where they will be welcomed by the island’s authorities.
The convertible bus will leave from the traffic circle that joins the Avenida de España and the E-10 and will go to the headquarters of the Consell. There, at 5.30 p.m., an institutional reception will take place with the participation of the main island institutions, representatives of the Balearic Football Federation and soccer clubs of the island.
Afterwards, the players will enjoy a few days of vacation on the island, “which has become a talisman for the national team, which chose Ibiza as the venue for the preparatory stage of the World Cup,” reports the Consell in a press release.
The selection that has made history in the Australia and New Zealand World Championship will bring the World Cup trophy with them to offer it to the fans of their talismanic island, where they will spend just two days before returning to the mainland. Although most of the national expedition is expected to travel, it is not confirmed that the entire party will travel.
