Rent a property in Ibiza for €45,000 a year with the owner included

Agents of the Group of Specialized and Violent Crime (UDEV) of the Ibiza Police Station proceeded on the 20th to the arrest of a spanish woman of 36 years of age accused of a crime of swindling and another of false documentation the National Police informs in a press release.

In November 2023, a man contacted a woman in Ibiza with a alleged real estate agent to rent his houselocated in the center of the island. Despite the fact that the woman showed the house to some interested parties, the owner finally made the decision not to rent it and told the alleged agent so.

However, soon after, the owner realized that his house was still being advertised for rent without his consent, so he warned the woman that if she did not remove those ads, he would take legal action.

And in the end she rented it

But the woman disregarded it and eventually found a victim to rent the apartment to (which was not for rent). He asked her in advance 45.000 euros in concept of annual rent and with option to purchase, formalizing in these terms a contract.

When the woman’s victim showed up in early 2024 at the home for which she had paid the entire year in advance, she found the owner inside, who explained to her what had happened.

Both victims went to the Ibiza Police Station to file a complaint and the agents proceeded to arrest the perpetrator on the morning of March 20 at 12.30 am in a cafeteria located in the Can Misses area.

After consulting the police databases, it was found that the investigated and subsequently arrested woman had a police record for acts of the same nature carried out in other cities.
