The young Mallorcan Francisco Hernandez has developed his own website, Balear Coast, with the clear objective of providing updated data on occupancy, the flag, the presence of jellyfish or the water temperature at about 400 beaches in the Balearic Islands, 19659003]Avoid crowds, know if the red flag is flying or if there are jellyfish before going to the beach is now easier thanks to this platform that stands as the great ally of tourists and residents in the middle of summer.
The idea came after a frustrating experience of the Mallorcan, who went to the beach and was so full that could not even stretch the towel. So he did not think twice and threw himself into creating this website that does not lack detail. What information does it offer? Each beach has a tab that details:
Current occupancy level. State of the flag (green, yellow or red). Presence of jellyfish reported by lifeguards or bathers. Weather data: water temperature, wind, waves and hourly forecast. Type of beach: if it has sand, stones or rocks, if it is pet-friendly, nudist, accessible, with showers, toilets or services
In addition, users can save their favorite beaches, mark the ones they have already visited or the ones they want to visit in the near future.

Can users comment?
At the moment, it is not allowed to leave comments or reviews, but the platform is still under development and is already considering incorporating new features, such as information on accessibility for people with reduced mobility or level of difficulty to reach certain coves.
The data come from official sources such as the Balearic Government, the General Directorate of Emergencies and the Platges de Balears portal, but it also draws on real-time observations made by lifeguards and citizens. A practical and free alternative
Although Balear Coast is not an app, its website is optimized for cell phones, allowing it to be consulted comfortably from anywhere. Its use is completely free and does not require registration.
