From 1 November, drivers will once again be able to access and park along Passeig de la Marina, in the port of Ibiza. The decision has been agreed upon by the Balearic Port Authority (APB) and the Ibiza City Council, which have chosen to lift the access barrier one month earlier than in previous years. In addition, the City Council will lift the access control to the ACIRE zone of the Marina district from Tuesday.
The measure aims to “facilitate mobility and parking during the low season for residents, shop owners and visitors to this part of the port”. According to the APB, the initiative has produced very positive results over the past two years, which is why it will be repeated and implemented earlier this season.
Parking along Passeig de la Marina will be available 24 hours a day, although a two-hour time limit between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. will remain in place to encourage vehicle turnover.
Loading and unloading spaces will also be maintained, operating Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., in line with the rest of the municipality.
End of access control in the Marina
Meanwhile, the Ibiza City Council has announced that, from Tuesday, 28 October, until 30 April 2026, the regulation of vehicle access to the ACIRE zone in the Marina district will be suspended.
Following the end of the summer season and the decrease in traffic in the area, access to the neighbourhood will no longer be subject to the usual restrictions. The change will also be displayed on the information screens located at the entrances to the Marina and at the access point from Antoni Palau Street.
